Protect yourself from common recruitment scams
At Hajoca, your safety and trust are our top priorities. We are aware that scammers may impersonate recruiters from Hajoca or create fake job opportunities to deceive job seekers. Please read this important information to help you recognize and avoid recruitment fraud.
What is recruitment fraud?
Recruitment fraud happens when individuals or organizations falsely claim to represent Hajoca, often through fake job postings, emails, or messages. Their goal is to obtain your personal information, money, or login credentials.
- Fake job invitations
You may receive emails or messages claiming to be recruiting from Hajoca, inviting you to apply for a job. These often request personal information, payment, or login credentials.
- Imposter email domains
Scammers may use domains that look similar to Hajoca, but slightly altered (haj0ca.com), or personal email services such as outlook.com or gmail.com.
- Suspicious links or attachments
Be cautious of communications urging you to click on links or download files to
complete an application
orverify your account.
These may be attempts to steal your information or infect your device. - Imposter recruiting sites
Scammers may create fake websites that mimic a Hajoca Careers page, prompting you to log in with your personal credentials or other identifying information.
Always apply for jobs through the official Hajoca Careers site or Hajoca’s Official Dayforce Portal.
- Requests for payment
Hajoca will never ask you to pay any fees at any stage of the recruitment process. If you are asked for payment, it is a scam. Hajoca does not charge any fee for employment or for any step of the recruitment process. Hajoca will also never seek to send you a check for purchasing equipment in advance of your start date.
How to verify legitimate communications from Hajoca
- Check the sender’s email address: Only trust emails from official domains from Hajoca.
- Hajoca.com is our primary email domain. We have other domains from our local brands (DBAs) that may also be used for emails. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of the domain, contact <1800 number> to verify the legitimacy of the sender & their email address.
- Apply only through official channels: All Hajoca job applications are managed through Dayforce.
- Hajoca will never:
- Request your Social Securtity Number, National ID, or other sensitive information via email/ text before your start date.
- Ask for payment or bank details as part of the recruitment process.
- Send you a check in advance of your start date for pre-purchasing equipment or other supplies.
What to do if you suspect a scam
- Do not respond to suspicious messages or provide any personal information.
- Do not click on links or download attachments from unknown sources.
- Forward the suspicious email or message to fraud@hajoca.com
- Use your email provider’s
report phishing
feature.
